My husband and I stayed at the Royalton Hideaway May 2017. On our 5 th day of our vacation while at the pool bar our waiter brought us tequila shots. I have no recollection of events after drinking the tequila. I woke up about 6 hours later in our room feeling perfectly fine. My husband proceeded to tell me I passed out in the pool and was pulled out by hotel staff, placed in a wheelchair and brought back to our room. All he could remember was being afraid they were going to take me somewhere and he had to force them out of our room. He remembered I then became hysterical and was screaming at the top of my lungs. We both woke up around midnight, me with no memory of events and him with only bits and pieces. We suspected we had been drugged but after stumbling onto this article, we are convinced we were. We consider ourselves lucky because it could have had a tragic ending.
