I think it back in 2005 or so when my wife and I went on a week vacation to Mexico. We had never been there before and was excited to go there. My wife had made arrangements with a 5 star Hotel at the Marival in Nuevo Vallarta with the agreement of listening to a spiel about buying their condos. After arriving there we had noticed that our room was way back in a dark hallway by the tennis courts and we asked for another room in which they gave us. Did not know that it was right above where they had a outdoor band setup because their regular place for music was being rebuilt. So our very first night we had a selection of 5 restaurants and decided to go for Mexican and we ordered two margaritas. My wife only had one and I had two and finished dinner and it was only around 7:00 Pm and we decided to go back to the room and fresh in up before going out that evening. We did not know what happened to us but we woke up on the bed completely clothed at around 2:30 AM and very sick and foggy headed and could not move or wanted to. We continued in this state for days and was not able to get up but to use the restroom. After 2 or 3 days of this we ordered crackers and 7up from room service. After the 3rd day of this I started seeing blue and purple flashes and my wife and I went to the front desk to ask for a hotel doctor which they told us where to go. After seeing what this doctor wanted money wise to look at us we decided not to proceed and went back to our room. By the 4th day we started trying to walk and get out a bit but I could only walk 30 yards and had to sit down as I was continuing to see flashes of colors and had a hard time breathing. We did tell the front desk that we had been very sick and while all this was going on the load music right outside our window was so load we could not even talk to each other and played every night until 2:00 AM. Finally the last 2days they gave us a much better room but had a attitude with us. I continued to see flashes of colors and felt bad for weeks after when we returned home. I have never been back and do not ever see us going.
